- Complexity may change the price of your commission.
- Basic Backgrounds include solid colors, simple gradients, simple repeating patterns, and photos. I do not charge extra for these.
- I will not charge extra for simple or nonspecific props, unless there are large quantities of an item, multiple different items requested, or the prop requires extra detail.
- A full scene has highly complex background/foreground elements alongside your character and their potential props.
- Chibi commissions are flatcolor fullbody only, and complex designs will be simplified.
Writing commissions are not priced on a set scale such as my digital art commissions. This is due to how widely writing commissions can vary. As such, these will need to be discussed individually to determine exactly what you're looking for, and take your budget into consideration. Currently, the baseline estimate is $1 per 1000 words. This is not the only contributing factor to the total price of your commission and can vary based on several factors, such as research time for topics or genres I'm unfamiliar with, and editing time. Please contact me regarding writing commission inquiries via Discord.
These are the terms of service for commissioning any work from me. By commissioning me, you are agreeing to these TOS, and if not followed you may be refused service or blacklisted depending on severity. Please contact me with any questions regarding my guidelines.
I reserve the right to decline a commission for any reason. Reasons for this may vary, but common reasons could include: The request is against one of my other policies; The request does not follow my policies regarding character references; I am uncomfortable with the request; I do not feel the request is within my skill level or capabilities to complete.
I reserve the right to use commissioned pieces to self-advertise and use as examples. Unless you request otherwise, the final product of your commission may be used - by me only - to advertise myself to potential clients. If you would like to request that I keep your piece private, please clarify whether posting the final piece without your username would be alright, or if you'd prefer the piece not be posted at all. I will strive to be as understanding as possible in all cases.
I take payment solely through PayPal currently. Please do not commission work from me knowing that you cannot use PayPal, as I cannot accommodate this through the use of other services.
You may request a progress update at any point. By default, I will provide watermarked WIP images for any digital art requests. At least one of each will be provided during the sketching, line-art, and coloring phases of my drawing process unless stated otherwise. Progress updates for writing commissions will be provided throughout the writing process and when requested.
Revisions and edits should be requested during progress updates. Minor changes may be requested before delivery of the final product, but major edits are more difficult to make once the piece is near completion. Unless there is a large error on my part, major edits requested after the delivery of the final update of the commission will be an extra charge per alteration, based on complexity. No edits will be made after the approval of the final draft and delivery of the finished product.
You may share, repost, and use the commission purchased from me for personal use, so long as you follow my guidelines: You may not remove or alter my signature whatsoever - including cropping it out, resizing it, recoloring it, or making it illegible; You may never claim my work as your own, always credit me as the artist and link back to me when possible; You ask permission before producing any physical version of my work, and confirm that it is not for commercial use unless otherwise approved.
Please allow me ample time to show progress on your commission. If something occurs on my end that will delay progress on your commission, I will contact you. If for whatever reason I need to cancel your commission after payment has been received, I will issue a refund and let you know. Cancelations on your part will be refunded based on commission type and level of completion at the time of cancelation. Artistic freedom and experimental commissions will not be refunded.
Any commission over $20 requires ½ payment upfront. I will not begin progress on your commission until I receive this. Smaller commissions may be paid upfront or before delivery of the final product.
Final payment must be made before delivery of the finished product. Upon completion of payment, you will receive an un-watermarked version of the finished version of your commission for personal usage.
My policies regarding references: Characters with incomplete or improper reference images(meaning that the reference image does not include all of what is requested to be drawn, or is shaded and therefore more difficult for me to utilize as proper reference) may be refused or charged an extra Character Design Service. Requests such as drawing the character as a different species than their reference image or adding complex accessories/clothing not provided are included in this. Depending on complexity, this fee could be up to 1/3 of the base price of the commissioned piece. Please provide adequate reference images to avoid this.
What is considered adequate reference material for digital art commissions? A full-body in a 3/4 perspective is most appreciated, but a front/back view is also acceptable where applicable. If I am unfamiliar with the species or anatomy, I will need more references. Your reference sheet should include flat colors, preferably with a separate color key that I can utilize to accurately select specific colors. The character should be separated and distinguished from background noise, preferably with a simple or transparent background. Additional accessories, clothing, or other items that you want included should have images provided for reference as well. Please specify if any aspect of your character changes based on expression/scenario as well, such as fur, fangs, frills, bioluminescence, etc.
What is considered adequate reference material for writing commissions? Preferably, a full-body reference of the main characters in your story, but detailed descriptions of their appearance can also work. You should also include information on these characters’ personalities, so that I may accurately portray them in your commission. Any specific details about the world in which your characters exist are also necessary if you’d like them included. As a general basis, to ensure that the finished story reflects your ideas, try to include as much information as possible!
What if the story takes place within a setting I - the writer- am unfamiliar with? That’s okay! Whether this means a preexisting universe such as a book/show/movie setting, or a real-world place or time period that I am not knowledgeable about, I am willing to try to make your request a reality. In this situation, I would request information on the setting of your story and that I be given ample time to research the topic so that I am able to competently write within that universe. If for whatever reason I do not feel that I would be able to accurately represent the setting you have requested, I will let you know.
